Abstract

Guaranteeing halal products is very important when viewed in terms of technological and scientific progress, the management of these products utilizes raw materials that can have a mixture of halal and non-halal compositions, either intentionally or unintentionally, because this happens to every community in their daily needs . day. Therefore, a guarantee of halalness in every product must be present with halal certification and labels, in order to protect consumers from non-halal cosmetic products. In researching and writing this article, the author uses legal research with a normative approach using data - Secondary data is data obtained from the literature . The Indonesian Ulema Council or abbreviated as MUI is a non-governmental organization in accommodating Islamic scholars, scholars in Indonesia who have the aim of directing and guiding and fostering all Muslims in Indonesia
